Our Solutions
First and foremost, take my advice and do not use an alcohol or witch hazel formula. There is no reason to. The only benefit I have encountered is it helps to dry clients faster. But we are talking a minute, maybe 2, faster. I ask you: is that worth the respiratory concerns? Not to mention that alcohol dries the skin. By you adding D.H.A. drops, which has drying tendencies is a recipe for failure. Your clients' skin will look cracked and fade much faster. This is the biggest reason clients say their tan only lasts a few days.
Secondly, make sure you know what you're buying. There are a lot of companies out there making solutions or altering formulas. When searching for solutions, ask for the name of the lab where their formula is made. Ask for an MSDS. This is a material safety data sheet. READ IT. And keep a copy in your salon. Make sure all staff is aware of what it is and can produce it at any time. This gives you information on the material you're spraying and necessary precautions for safety. Ask about insurance coverage that should roll over to you from the lab. Use common sense and protect yourself and your customers. Ask all questions and voice all concerns. A reputable company should be able to answer any and all questions.
Thirdly, I recently became aware of something that totally blew me away. After spending time in the lab and with the chemist, I was told that the acceleration drop everyone sells (even us) voids the insurance policy! I was floored! As an owner of salons, I had used these drops. I was never given this information. I happen to think that it's rather important, don't you? Not to mention I just bought a company that sells them. My first thought was: this has to change immediately. So to make this perfectly clear to everyone, you can in no way alter a chemist's formula and be covered under the umbrella policy. Really, it makes sense when you think about it. I mean, who are we to alter a lab-tested chemist-produced product? So, another challenge to overcome! I needed to give you, my client, and your clients solutions straight from the lab that provide four different choices, not just in the color guide, but in the actual end result. The only way to accomplish this is to adjust the D.H.A. in every solution. We can now provide you with a product that you do not alter in any way; just shake the bottle and apply. The color guides will all match the end result, so no more "let downs" after the shower. No gimmicks. The results will speak for themselves. We have succeeded and proudly offer you our new 2008 line of solutions.
